June King qualified from the Central School of Speech and Drama as a Speech Therapist in 1989. Since that time, she has worked in paediatrics, learning disabilities and in general practice. She has also lectured throughout the UK on a variety of aspects of communication difficulties. When Jem Therapy was started in 1997, June continued to work for three days a week in a specialist unit for children with learning difficulties. As Jem Therapy began to receive more requests for therapy, June left the NHS in April 2000 to work full-time for Jem Therapy.
QualifcationsJune King qualified with a BSc in Speech Therapy from the Central School of Speech and Drama in London, in 1989. In 2001 she passed the City and Guilds 730 teaching certificate, and became a licensed trainer for the RNIB's Multiple Disability Training Course in 1994.
